Many of you are watching anxiously as Irma nears Haiti. We deeply appreciate your concern and offers to help. In the wake of Hurricane Matthew last fall, your donations provided relief to numerous Haitians. Thank you for preparing to assist us again in light of this storm!
Since Hurricane Irma has not yet hit Haiti, we don’t know the extent of what will be needed. We do know that the poorest will suffer the most. They will need access to clean water, food, and medicine along with help rebuilding homes. As an organization already on the ground in Haiti, Disciples’ Village will be on the front lines – ready to help meet these needs. .
Here is what you can do as the storm draws near:
- Please pray for the safety of the entire Disciples’ Village family in Haiti. Our schools have already began with hundreds of students attending. Pray that the buildings will endure the storm, and that the children and families in our villages will be safe.
- Give to our Hurricane Relief Fund. 100% of donations give will be used to help victims recover from this storm.
Full details and needs will be posted as the storm passes.
Thank you, stateside Disciples’ Village family! We know you are with us both in prayer and in meeting the needs of our vulnerable brothers and sisters in Haiti.
